Travis Petton IV is living up to his name as the fourth Travis Petton to embark down his chosen career path.
He started riding when he was five years old and quickly became a dominant force on the Californian amateur circuit. Petton then proved himself on a bigger stage, reeling in multiple national titles as an amateur before finally turning pro.
After making a limited Progressive AFT debut in 2021, Petton hit the full tour in 2022 and immediately showed himself up to the task. The Californian pulled in points in ten AFT Singles Main Events en route to a top-15 championship ranking on the season with a pair of top tens. He was even stronger in ‘23, scoring points in 11 races with three top tens, solidifying an 11th-place championship ranking.
Petton earned his first AFT Singles championship top ten ranking in 2024, a season that saw him collect nine top-ten finishes.
After running just a single race in 2025, Petton is back on the scene full time in 2026, contesting the AFT Singles season with Waters Autobody Racing.
